Become a master of great coffee! There is a real technique to perfecting the art of making the perfect cup of coffee and of course meeting the high standards of NZ’s coffee and hospitality scene. This Barista course will give you the skills to work in a commercial hospitality environment, operate a commercial espresso machine and prepare a range of beverages.

This course will give you the knowledge to operate as a barista in a commercial venue, understanding how to prepare not just the espresso machine but the service area.
Make a full range of espresso based beverages
Whether it’s a long black or a latte you need to be able to prepare beverages to perfection and under time pressure. On this course you will learn about the range of espresso based beverages and how to prepare each one efficiently and effectively.

How long will it take?
All our courses are available to complete as a full-time or part-time option. Our full-time option will take approximately 5-6 weeks per course. Our part-time option will take approximately 11-12 weeks per course.

All qualifications will be awarded by one of these providers. Courses completed through TANZ eCampus are industry recognised and accepted by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA). Graduates may attend the graduation ceremony of the relevant tertiary partner and will receive a parchment from the institute at which they enrolled.
