Understand buyer behaviour and customer requirements
A good knowledge of your customer and understanding what they really want is important when it comes to closing a sale. This course will help you to really understand the drivers associated with buyer behaviour and how you can interpret and better understand that to ensure enquiries result in sales.
There is a raft of legislation designed to protect the consumer – Finance Act, Lay by Act, Fair Trading Act. On this course you will receive a good knowledge of the Acts that apply to the retail sector and how you can ensure compliance.
Learn about merchandising
There are merchandising techniques that you can use to highlight a product and encourage sales. This course will share those techniques with you so that you gain a good understanding of the important art of merchandising.

How long will it take?
This course is delivered over 10 weeks. NZQA guidelines suggest up to 150 hours of total study time for a 15 credit course. So to complete this course successfully in the 10 weeks you must be prepared to devote approximately 15 hours per week to your study. Depending on your previous academic online experience and course level this may vary to a certain degree.
