The New Zealand Diploma in Construction (Level 6) (Construction Management) or (Quantity Surveying) will give you the practical skills and knowledge to take that next step.
You will gain the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to give your employer or client the confidence that their residential or commercial construction project is in competent hands and will be effectively planned, organised and delivered on budget according to NZ legislation, codes of practice and standards.

All on site staff working within a project management role must have extensive knowledge of the regulatory environment and the requirement for compliance. How will I learn?
You can fit your study around your work, family and lifestyle – there is no need to be a full-time student while studying with TANZ eCampus. You can work and earn. All study is completely online – with supportive facilitators and advisors to help you along the way.
How long will it take?
All our qualifications have flexible start dates with courses available to start at regular times throughout the year. The courses that make up this qualification are typically 10 weeks in duration. To complete the entire qualification, you will be required to complete approximately 160 weeks of study. Please note that this qualification can only be studied part-time which means that you can only enrol in one course at a time.
Career and study pathways
On completion of this qualification you could be ready to take on a variety of careers within the construction sector. You will have the skills and knowledge to be employed in commercial and residential construction roles as construction manager or quantity surveyor dependent on the strand of study.
Applicants must have a minimum of 50 NCEA credits at Level 2 including 12 credits in maths and a minimum of 12 literacy credits at NCEA level 1 or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and skills.
- All applicants must have a level of English sufficient to be able to study at this level. Those applicants whose first language is not English should have:
- An International English Language Testing System (IELTS) overall academic score of at least 6.0 from one test issued within the last two years, with not less than 5.5 in any category.

All qualifications will be awarded by one of these providers. Courses completed through TANZ eCampus are industry recognised and accepted by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA). Graduates may attend the graduation ceremony of the relevant tertiary partner and will receive a parchment from the institute at which they enrolled.
